Dave Worthingtons thoughts on the Non League Day game at home to Abbey Hulton United on Saturday at the Mechanics Ground. Abbey Hulton were promoted from the Staffordshire County Senior League, as champions last season.

We are really looking forward to the game against Abbey Hulton. This is their first season at this level, and they have adapted well. They have a similar record to us, with 15 points and the same goal difference. We are looking to get another home win on Non League Day in front of what we hope will be a higher crowd than usual, with entry being free.

Hopefully, we can put on a good performance, playing some attractive football and most importantly get the win that would push us closer to the play-off places.

No game is easy in this division and we will need to be at our best, and bounce back from the defeat at runaway League leaders Silsden on Tuesday, when we probably should have got a draw.

Please come and join our support, everyone will be made very welcome, with entry being free. There is also the collection being made for a very good cause, Prostate Cancer UK. Everyone has been affected by cancer, whether it is personally, family or friends. And it is about time we got rid of it for good!

Come On You AFCB!
